In a commendable display of environmental responsibility and community engagement, the Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) Bahrain organized a highly successful beach cleaning campaign in collaboration with Alhilal Healthcare Group at Al Ghouse Corniche, Muharraq.
The event was held on Monday, May 5th, beginning at 7:00 AM, with enthusiastic participation from KCF volunteers and supporters.Volunteers gathered early at the site and were provided with t-shirts, caps, gloves, and the necessary tools to carry out the cleanup.The campaign was officially inaugurated at 7:30 AM with a speech by KCF President Vittal Jamaluddin, joined by key organizational leaders including Haris Sampya (General Secretary), Muhaz Ujire (treasurer), Khalandar Ustad (Secretary, Knowledge Wing, International Council), Razzak Aneka (President, Relief Wing), and Ashraf Kinya (Secretary, Relief Wing).Following the inauguration, volunteers began cleaning the shoreline with dedication and efficiency.
By 9:00 AM, all collected waste was securely packed and handed over for proper disposal by the Muharraq Municipality.A brief closing ceremony was held to acknowledge the commitment and contributions of the participants.
Representatives from the Muharraq Governorate Office were in attendance to show their support and appreciation. Among them were Eng. Hamad Mohammed Al-jowder (Director, Social Programs and Community Affairs Department), Mr. Ahmed Ali Al-Mahmeed (Head of Social Programs Section), Mr. Alaa Abbas Al-Moallem (Senior Social Programs Specialist), Ms. Latifa Al-Khattal (Senior Social Programs Specialist), and Ms. Aisha Al-Mannai (Social Programs Specialist).
The officials praised KCF Bahrain and its volunteers for their strong commitment to environmental sustainability and community welfare.To further encourage community involvement, all attendees were offered refreshments and goodie bags, generously supported by Mega Mart, Lulu Exchange, and Pocari Sweat, the official hydration partner for the event.Al Hilal Healthcare Group extends its sincere appreciation to all volunteers, supporters, and partners who contributed to the success of this initiative.
