Pravasi Legal Cell Oman Chapter Delegation Meets His Excellency Mr. Prashant Pise Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman.


A delegation from the Pravasi Legal Cell (PLC) Oman Chapter met with the Ambassador of India in Muscat to discuss key issues concerning the welfare, rights, and well-being of the Indian expatriate community in Oman.
The delegation comprised Mrs. Jessy Jose, President of PLC Oman Chapter; Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Coordinator; Mr. Nooruddin, Treasurer; and Mr. Balakrishnan Valiyattu, Joint Secretary. During the meeting, the delegation highlighted a range of concerns faced by Indian expatriates, including employment-related grievances, legal assistance requirements, labor disputes, salary delays, documentation issues, consular support during emergencies, and other practical challenges encountered by migrant workers and their families.
The representatives emphasized the importance of strengthening support mechanisms for expatriates and enhancing cooperation between community organizations and the Embassy to ensure timely intervention and effective resolution of issues affecting Indian nationals in Oman.
The delegation also expressed appreciation for the valuable services and initiatives undertaken by the Embassy of India for the welfare of the Indian community. They reaffirmed the commitment of Pravasi Legal Cell Oman Chapter to work closely with the Embassy in addressing the concerns of expatriates and promoting their welfare.
The Ambassador assured the delegation of the Embassy’s continued support and commitment to safeguarding the interests of Indian nationals in Oman. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Embassy and community organizations in addressing expatriate issues and enhancing the welfare of the Indian diaspora.
The meeting is being viewed as a significant step towards strengthening the protection of expatriate rights and expanding welfare initiatives for the Indian community in Oman.
